Some 46,592 Serbian visitors came to Croatia in the first six months of the year, with those numbers expected to top 100,000 by its end. That would mean a 15 per cent increase over last year’s visits and revenues of about 50 million Euro

Some 100,000 tourists from Serbia are expected to spend their vacation on Croatia’s Adriatic coast this year.

Some 46,592 Serbian visitors came to Croatia in the first six months of the year, with those numbers expected to top 100,000 by its end. That would mean a 15 per cent increase over last year’s visits and revenues of about 50 million Euros.

Serbian press reports that Istria, Porec, Rovinj and Kvarner are the preferred destinations for these visitors, who usually come through individual arrangments rather than as part of group tours.

Croatian Ministry of Tourism says that violent incidents against these tourists are not much different from complaints they receive from visitors from other countries.

Croatia spent about 230,000 Euros on advertising in Serbia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with 130,000 Euros spent on TV commercials and the rest on billboards in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Subotica.
