Qatar, Albania hold official talks

A session of official talks kicked off at the Presidential Palace in Tirana on Tuesday evening between the State of Qatar under HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Republic of Albania led by President HE Bamir Topi.

A session of official talks kicked off at the Presidential Palace in Tirana on Tuesday evening between the State of Qatar under HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Republic of Albania led by President HE Bamir Topi.

The two sides discussed relations between the two countries and means of bolstering them in several domains. They also reviewed the latest regional and international developments of mutual concern.

The talks were attended on the Qatari side by HE Deputy Premier and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah and a number of Their Excellencies the members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.

After the session of talks, HH the Emir and the Albanian President held a bilateral meeting which was also attended by HE the Deputy Premier and Chief of the Emiri Diwan.

HH the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani flew into Tirana earlier Tuesday afternoon, from Skopje, Macedonia, on a two-day state visit to Albania, the second stop of his current tour which will also include Ukraine and Poland.

HH the Emir of Qatar gets the Highest Albanian Medal

President of the Republic of Albania President HE Bamir Topi has conferred on HH the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Gjergj Kastrioti "Iskander Beg", the highest honor in the Republic in recognition of his role for promoting bilateral relations and the achievements HH the Emir has achieved in various fields.

The medal conferring ceremony, held at the Presidential Palace in Albanian capital, Tirana, on Tuesday, was attended by HE Deputy Premier and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah and Their Excellencies the members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.
