External trade stands at $10.463 billion between January and November 2011

In the period January-November 2011, the most important export partners were EU's 27 countries (60.7%) and Western Balkan countries (27.8%). The most important import partners were the EU's 27 countries (54.5%) and developing countries (26.6%).

Macedonia's external trade in the period between January and November in 2011 stood at 10.463.682.000 US dollars. The export value of goods in Macedonia in the period January-November was 4.073.620 thousand US dollars, and the import value was 6.390.062 thousand US dollars. Import coverage by export was 63.7%. The trade deficit in the period January-November was 2.316.442 thousand US dollars, according to preliminary data of the State Statistical Office.

The trade exchange according to products shows that in the exports the most significant products are supported catalysts with precious metal or precious metal compounds as the active substance, ferro-nickel, iron and steel products (flat-rolled products), clothes, and petroleum oil preparations. In the imports, the most significant products are platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder form, the crude petroleum oils, motor vehicles for transport of persons and electricity.

In the period January-November 2011, the most important export partners were EU's 27 countries (60.7%) and Western Balkan countries (27.8%). The most important import partners were the EU's 27 countries (54.5%) and developing countries (26.6%).

According to the total volume of international commodity trade, the most important trade partners of the Republic of Macedonia are Germany, Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria and Italy (44.1% of the total international commodity trade).
