The Bulgarian Head of State Rosen Plevneliev has sent a congratulatory address to Vladimir Putin on the occasion of his election to the post of president of the Russian Federation.

“I believe that together we will succeed in contributing into the development of friendly Bulgarian-Russian relations and cooperation based on the historical and cultural closeness of the two nations. I am convinced that we will be working to the benefit of Bulgaria-Russia relations in all spheres on the basis of pragmatic dialogue, openness, partnership and mutual interest”, the Bulgarian president’s letter reads.
