A women has died after being stung over 1,000 times after a swarm of bees attacked her in the northern Croatian city of Koprivnica, reported portal index.hr.

The 74-year-old women was walking through a field when the swarm of bees flew unprovoked from a nearby hive and began to sting the elderly women. Ambulance services arrived quickly at the scene as firefighters used water cannons to disperse the bees.

The women was rushed to hospital where she spent days in a very serious conditions, Doctors were not able to save the women who died yesterday (Tue) from the large amount of poison in her system.
