Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic and Director of the Gosa special equipment factory Radisa Jovicic signed yesterday an agreement on encouraging investment, expanding production and hiring 55 new workers at this factory.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic and Director of the Gosa special equipment factory Radisa Jovicic signed yesterday an agreement on encouraging investment, expanding production and hiring 55 new workers at this factory.

Dinkic specified that the agreement is worth €330,000, adding that thanks to the Ministry and the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency, the factory will receive €6,000 for every new employee. He also noted that the total investment in the factory is worth €680,000.

Gosa produces components for automatic concrete mixers for Germany’s Schwing Stetter, one of the major world producers of heavy construction equipment and machinery, the Minister recalled.

He noted that Gosa has been recording an increase in production volume and positive business results since 2004 when it was privatised, and it also concluded sales agreements with the German company worth €20 million for 2010, 2011 and 2012.

The Deputy Prime Minister pointed to the importance of investing into domestic production, such as investment into Gosa, because it also helps increase employment in the underdeveloped areas, such as Zabari municipality.

Prior to the signing of the agreement Dinkic met with the leadership of the municipality to discuss more investment opportunities.
