Russia is still analyzing and deciding whether it will take part in mediating in the future negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina, Russian Ambassador Alexander Konuzin has stated.

He told the VECERNJE NOVOSTI that Russia was surprised with the version of the resolution that Serbia had submitted to the UN, relating to Kosmet.

“We were very surprised with the fact that Serbia had offered another version, instead of its original draft of the document. I understand that the Serbian side will form its stance in accordance with that resolution, so we need better preparation of our own”, explained Konuzin.

He has repeated that it does not mean Russia will change its stance towards Kosmet.

“You are the ones making decisions, and whatever you do to shape your destiny, we will extend our support”, the Russian Ambassador concluded.
