The office of the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina with the Serbian Mission in Brussels will be opened in early 2011 – President of the Vojvodina Government Bojan Pajtic and Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic announced.

Pointing that it will be one of many representative offices of European regions in Brussels, Jeremic assessed that the Office will have a lot of work, especially after Serbia acquires status of the EU member candidate.

The Minister expressed expectation that the opening of the representative office of the economically most developed region of Serbia will be very important for the economic development in the Republic and the Province, especially in the field of attracting new major investments.

Bojan Pajtic emphasized that the Office functioning will enable authorities in Novi Sad and Belgrade to have big placements of funds from the EU funds through lobbying processes and thus attract far more foreign capital.
