Repairs on roofs of houses in Kraljevo which were damaged in the Wednesday earthquake will begin on Saturday, representative of the Serbian Interior Ministry Emergency Sector Bojan Kostic announced on Friday.

Kostic told Tanjug that a part of the tiles and other construction materials which will be used in the repair has already been delivered to Kraljevo, central Serbia.

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic stated on Friday that the earthquake rendered 310 buildings, mostly houses, in Kraljevo, unsuitable for living.

Dacic noted that damage was done to 4,000 buildings, 90 percent of which are individual houses. He said that experts of the Belgrade CIP Institute have been sent to Kraljevo to help expedite review and restoration of damaged facilities.
