Markovic to open event marking beginning of community policing

The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government will organise an event to mark the beginning of the work of community police in the cities of Serbia at 12.00 on 8 November at the Serbian parliament building, Kralja Milana 14.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government will organise an event to mark the beginning of the work of community police in the cities of Serbia at 12.00 on 8 November at the Serbian parliament building, Kralja Milana 14.

The event will be opened by Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Milan Markovic, and Serbian President Boris Tadic, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic and Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas will also address those present.

Around 170 first community policemen from Belgrade, Valjevo, Novi Sad, Pozarevac, Zrenjanin, Sremska Mitrovica and Sabac will attend the event, as well as the mayors of these cities.

Accreditations for media representatives should be submitted by 9.00 on 8 November to email , fax number 011/2685-396 or phone number 011/2685-345.

The accreditation must contain the name and surname of the crew member, his/her function and personal birth register number. Incomplete accreditations will not be accepted.
