Kosovo's Central Electoral Commission announced on Nov. 12 that 28 political subjects had applied for early parliamentary elections in Kosovo, including eight Serb tickets.

The application deadline for the December vote expired at midnight on Nov. 11. All of Kosovo's major parties met the deadline.

The commission will check whether the applications and tickets comply with the requirements for electoral participation before mid-next week, after which it will come out with an official list.

The commission earlier set a EUR818,000 limit on campaign spending for the participants. The electoral campaign will last from Dec. 1 to 10, while the vote will be held on Dec. 12.
