Kosovo Telecom increases revenues

Officials of the Kosovo Post and Telecom (PTK) said that during the first 10 months of 2010 the company's revenues increased by 7%.

CEO Shyqri Haxha said that the number of customers of mobile operator Vala (which is part of PTK) has grown to 1.2 million, while he expects the number of customers to grow to 1.5 million.
Haxha also said that within a short time the mobile operator “Plus” will start its work in Albania, where PTK is shareholder.
PTK is the only public operator of mobile telephony in Kosovo and it is in currently the process of privatization. The Slovenian owned IPKO is the second mobile operator in Kosovo.
