Police members promoted

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic presented yeserday on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of the Interior silver medals and promotions to a number of members of the Serbian Interior Ministry.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic presented yeserday on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of the Interior silver medals and promotions to a number of members of the Serbian Interior Ministry.

Dacic pointed out these awards are for contribution of police members to improving the safety of citizens as well as promoting the reputation of the Interior Ministry, which will continue to change and modernise becoming a reliable factor of safety in the country and the region.

The First Deputy Prime Minister opened an exhibition of weapons used by police in the past two centuries.

He announced that the evening's formal academy in the Sava Centre on the occasion of two centuries of the Ministry will gather the state leadership, the interior ministers of countries in the region, the Secretary General of Interpol and the Europol Director.
