According to the Education Ministry, the strike situation in schools across Serbia improved Friday, as 1,775 schools - 98.8 percent of all schools in the country - returned to full or shortened classes.

According to the Education Ministry, the strike situation in schools across Serbia improved Friday, as 1,775 schools - 98.8 percent of all schools in the country - returned to full or shortened classes.

According to the latest data collected from school administrations, out of the 1,804 elementary schools and high schools in Serbia, 1,013 (56.4 percent) are holding full classes, while 762 (42.4 percent) are holding 30-minute classes.

Classes are still suspended at 19 schools (1.1 percent), which is nine less than on Thursday, said the Education Ministry.
