Berlin: Albanian murderer of US soldiers is radical Islamist

A Kosovo Albanian, who killed two US airmen outside Frankfurt International Airport, has been identified as Arid Uka from the village Zabar near the city of Kosovska Mitrovica (northern Kosovo), the Pristina-based daily Koha Ditore writes estimating that this attack delivered a nasty blow to the already compromised reputation of Kosovo.
Kosovo has once again hit the headlines projecting a negative image now that Arid Uka, 21, from Mitrovica is labeled as the main suspect for the murder of two US airmen in Frankfurt, the daily says.
After opening fire on a bus full of US Air Force personnel, killing two airmen and wounding two others, Uka was arrested at one of the airport terminals. Kosovo's President Bedzet Pacoli and government expressed their regret and condemned the killings.
This crime is an individual deed, against civilized values and tradition of Kosovo's people, who will always be thankful to the US, American administration and people who have strongly backed Kosovo's people, the government of Kosovo underlined.
The Kosmet Albanian who killed two US soldiers and wounded another two at the Frankfurt airport yesterday has given his plea at the first hearing in the police, so the investigative bodies assume at issue is a radical Islamist, stated Boris Rhein, Minister of Interior of the German federal state Hessen.
He added that the investigation would establish whether the 21 year-old perpetrator, for whom the Pristina media claim his name is Arif Uka from Kosovska Mitrovica, was acting alone or the attack was backed by some Islamist group.
The German media point that the investigation is taken over by the federal prosecution, hence indicating the terrorist attack for political motives.

US President Barak Obama stated last night he was hocked by the assassination of US Air Force members in Frankfurt, adding that the authorities in Washington would do everything to shed light on the circumstances of the crime.

I am Kosovar Albanian and all I can say is that Albanians all over the world and especially in Kosova are shocked by this awfull act, United States of America are Kosova's greatest friend and it has never been in Albanian's tradition to hurt friends. I want to express my sincerest condolences to the families of the victims and to the nation of US, you are in our thoughts and prayers all the time and we are as saddened as you are. Thank you USA

in nyc if you mention albanian or kosova the first thing that comes to peoples minds are organized crime or violent criminals with primitive thinking. this act will def not help imrove their image, also now that people will start connecting possibly radical islam to the already criminal image. good luck, someone in the community needs to conduct outreach and educate the youth on better behavior.
