The sale of tickets for the matches of the UEFA EURO 2012 European Football Championship has been launched, with ceremonies held in Kyiv and Warsaw at 1700 on March 1.

On the UEFA EURO 2012 ticket portal, every fan can apply for individual match tickets, as well as special packages - “Follow My Team Group,” “Follow My Team Tournament,” “Venue Series Group,” and “Venue Series Knockout Stage.”
The ceremony held in the Ukrainian capital was attended by tournament ambassador Oleh Blokhin, tournament director in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky, EURO 2012 national agency chairman Volodymyr Kovalevsky, UEFA executive member Frantisek Laurinec, and UEFA Events SA operations director Martin Kallen.
A total of 591,000 fans from 161 countries who want to attend EURO 2012 matches have already registered on UEFA's official website.
Until March 31, tournament organizers will receive application for tickets, and their processing will last two weeks. The holders of tickets will be determined via lottery in April 2011. The lucky ones will receive vouchers that can then be exchanged for tickets. Their price will range from UAH 300 to UAH 6,000 (UAH 7.93 / USD 1).
Until the end of March, all fans have a chance of creating their personal accounts on the EURO 2012 ticketing portal, which will be required to apply for the purchase of tickets. The deadline for the creation of personal accounts is March 31.
The first four tickets for the EURO 2012 match, which will take place at the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex in Kyiv on June 11, 2012, were awarded free of charge to Vita Mymrenko, a school teacher from Bila Tserkva (Kyiv region).
