The opposition filed in Parliament the no-confidence motion titled 'Boc Code: Low Salaries, High Unemployment, Bankrupt Companies,' leader of the deputies of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Mircea Dusa told a press conference.

'We have filed the no-confidence motion with the heads of the two chambers. It has been signed by 210 PSD, PNL and PC parliamentarians, deputes and senators. The motion criticizes the abusive manner in which the Boc Government tries to pass this draft law, .... which is not urgent at all,' said Dusa.

He also said that the amendments to the Labour Code seriously affect the labour market and create immobility, proving detrimental to the interests of employees and employers.

The no-confidence motion of the opposition criticizes the Government by saying that its only economic philosophy is the cut in incomes. The opposition thinks that Romania is now through 'the darkest period in recent history' and that such a climate does not even guarantee the security of man and property.

The motion also reads that the new provisions of the Labour Code lead to an increase in the Romanian employees' stability on the labour market following the excessive extension of the limited duration employment contracts and of the temporary employment ones, but also the prolongation of the probation before employment.
