Council of Europe rapporteur Dick Marty will address Thursday in Strasbourg the European Parliament (EP) Foreign Affairs Committee, on the investigation of allegations of inhuman treatment of people and illicit trafficking in human organs in Kosovo, the EP announced on its website.

Council of Europe rapporteur Dick Marty will address Thursday in Strasbourg the European Parliament (EP) Foreign Affairs Committee, on the investigation of allegations of inhuman treatment of people and illicit trafficking in human organs in Kosovo, the EP announced on its website.

The Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly adopted Dick Marty's report and resolution on organ trafficking in Kosovo, which calls for an investigation into these allegations.

169 MPs voted in favor and eight against the resolution, while 14 abstained.

The European Parliament is currently in session in Strasbourg.
