Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik announced in Banjaluka on March 10 that he will call on the assembly to evaluate, at an extraordinary session, the work of High Representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina Valentin Inzko, who, according to him, has taken the position of a supporter in the Divjak case.
Dodik said that Inzko, after information that he had influenced the Austrian media regarding reports on the arrest of retired Bosnian army general Jovan Divjak, "is an even more irrelevant person, regardless of the fact that he is backed by the international community."
"The high representative's recent behavior in the Divjak case represents interference in the work of the judiciary, as well as the fan-like position of various high representatives," the president said, adding that the Republika Srpska assembly is the best place to debate the matter.
Dodik went on to say that he will urge the Interior Ministry to put together "an action plan for the arrest of" Jovan Divjak, Ejup Ganic and other indictees in the Dobrovoljacka Street case, if they set foot in Republika Srpska territory, after which they should be extradited to the Serbian authorities, who are charging said individuals with war crimes.
