Serbian Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic stated on Belgrade that Serbia will have a new government probably on March 15.

"Procedurally speaking, we should be considering the prime minister's nominees on March 14, so in the evening of that day we should have a reshuffled government. After this is published in the Official Gazette, I expect we will have the new government as early as on March 15," Djukic-Dejanovic told reporters in the parliament.

She pointed out that the new Serbian government can be expected to be more efficient and oriented toward improving the population's living standards.

On March 10, the Serbian Parliament began a debate on 53 amendments to the draft changes of the laws on the government and on ministries, which envisage a smaller government with 17 ministries and 21 members.

The ministers who will not have jobs in the reshuffled government and those whose ministries will have additional work have resigned, BETA was told by the office of the Serbian prime minister.
