President Gjorge Ivanov nominates incumbent Vice-Governor of Macedonia's National Bank (NBRM) Dimitar Bogov to replace Governor Petar Gosev, whose mandate is to expire in May.

The President will submit his proposal to the Parliament, which is in charge of electing the NBRM head.

Ivanov's proposal for the new Governor is a result of thorough consultations with financial and banking experts.

The President, as his Cabinet members say, considers that with Bogov Macedonia is going to get a governor that will work in line with the strategic priorities for more dynamic economic development and recovery of the country after the economic crisis.

Bogov, who had a meeting with the President today, is a financial expert. He is not affiliated with any political party.
