Serbia claims third place at Istanbul Gastronomy Festival

Members of the Culinary Federation of Serbia won the third place at the 9th International Gastronomy Festival in Istanbul, which gathered around 2.000 cooks and confectioners from over 15 countries, the Federation stated in a release on Wednesday.

Serbia's team at the competition comprised Nemanja Stamenkovic, Aleksandar Kolovic and Sasa Vinogradov, and the team's head was President of the Serbian Chefs' Association Uros Urosevic, who also took part in the work of the judges' committee.
In individual categories, Serbian chefs won six medals and two fourth places.
The Serbian team also claimed the forth place for their figure made of marzipan.
The Serbian team achieved its greatest success in the closing competition programme, when they and their Croatian colleagues shared the third place and the bronze medal for the overall standing scored at the festival.
The Gastronomy Festival was held from February 17 to 21.
