The Constitutional Court of Serbia has revoked all decisions of the High Judicial Council (VSS) on reelection of judges in December 2009, adding that there are no major obstacles to the revision of the reelection which should be launched in ten or so days.

President of the Judges' Association of Serbia (DSS) Dragana Boljevic stated Thursday that the Constitutional Court of Serbia has revoked all decisions of the High Judicial Council (VSS) on reelection of judges in December 2009, adding that there are no major obstacles to the revision of the reelection which should be launched in ten or so days.

“The Constitutional Court has revoked all VSS decisions on dismissal of judges who applied for the reelection procedure,” Boljevic said at a press conference, adding that the Constitutional Court has dispelled all dilemmas regarding the role of the VSS in the revision process.

She recalled that the revision of the reelection of judges should start in ten or so days, adding that the manner in which the process will be implemented is currently being discussed.

Boljevic said that there are no major hindrances to the revision of the reelection of judges, and that a European expert will arrive on visit to Serbia next week so as to consider the stands of the VSS and DSS.
