Conference “Ten years of development assistance to Serbia“

The conference,  will present an overview of political and economic development of Serbia in the past ten years, the effects of the assistance given to Serbia so far, the best experiences and lessons from practice and the challenges of financing of future reforms in 2011.

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Bozidar Djelic, Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany Dirk Niebel and Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia Vincent Degert will open international conference "Ten years of development assistance to Serbia” on 6 May at 10.00 at the Deputies’ Club, Tolstojeva 2.

Immediately before the beginning of this event, Djelic, Niebel and Degert are scheduled to hold a press conference from 9.45 to 10.00.

The conference, which is organised by the Serbian government’s EU Integration Office, will present an overview of political and economic development of Serbia in the past ten years, the effects of the assistance given to Serbia so far, the best experiences and lessons from practice and the challenges of financing of future reforms in 2011.

The event will gather over 150 representatives of the donors’ community, public administration and local self-government, as well as representatives of the civil society.
