Serbian President Boris Tadic said Thursday that any armed operation against terrorists is legitimate and that everyone who participated in terrorist acts and who is a threat to peace and safety is a fugitive from justice.

Serbian President Boris Tadic said Thursday that any armed operation against terrorists is legitimate and that everyone who participated in terrorist acts and who is a threat to peace and safety is a fugitive from justice.

This was Tadic's response when journalists asked him to comment on the liquidation of Al-Qaeda leader and world's most wanted terrorist Osama bin Laden.

"There is nothing more to say. Serbia will continue fighting terrorism and it will continue acting preemptively," Tadic said, adding that Serbia is aware of the ties which existed between radical Islamist organizations in South East Europe and Al-Qaeda.

"I believe that all people in Serbia will be safe," Tadic concluded.
