Sutanovac receives Best European 2010 award for politics

Serbia's Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac received Monday the Best European 2010 award for political achievements.

Serbia's Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac received Monday the Best European 2010 award for political achievements.

The award was handed out in 5 more categories.

Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic received it for culture of living and environment improvement, Secretary General of the Association of Serbian Banks Veroljub Dugalic got it in the economics category, while Ombudsman Sasa Jankovic received it for strengthening and improving the institution of the ombudsman.

Portuguese Ambassador to Serbia Luis de Almeida Sampaio was given the award as the best European in the foreign citizens category, since he has helped in Serbia's efforts towards EU integration. Marko Caric got the award for entrepreneurship.

The ceremony was held at the city hall. It was organized by two non-governmental organizations, the First European House and the European Movement in Serbia.
