Pristina: Six police commanders from northern Kosmet suspended

Director of the Kosmet Police Service Reshat Maliqi has suspended for 48 hours four commanders of police precincts in northern Kosmet and two commanders at administrative border crossings Jarinje and Brnjak, for the suspicion of them violating the code of service.

The decision becomes effective tomorrow, and expires on Friday morning, communicated spokesperson of the Kosmet Police Service Besim Hoti.
The suspension is aimed at the commanders from the northern, primarily Serb, part of the Province, who did not wish to obey the decision of the directorate on the rotation of service.
It has been stated in the KPS that the rotation is in the function of better working results of the police, while the Serbs’ representatives believe at issue is a new provocation of the interim Pristina authorities, who wish to establish the institutions of the self-proclaimed state by any means.
