At a news conference held at the NBS, Soskic said that the May inflation amounted to 0.4 percent, while year-on-year inflation dropped from 14.7 percent in April to 13.4 percent in the previous month.
Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Dejan Soskic stated Monday in Belgrade that Serbia's inflation rate dropped in May, and that “the peak of inflation is behind us.”
At a news conference held at the NBS, Soskic said that the May inflation amounted to 0.4 percent, while year-on-year inflation dropped from 14.7 percent in April to 13.4 percent in the previous month.
That is in line with the NBS forecast that inflation will be on the decrease in the coming months, particularly during the summer, the NBS governor noted.
Soskic also said that the prices were stabilized in the last month.
