The 'Sound and Light' show, famous for evoking the spirit of ancient Egypt worldwide ever since 1961, will be staged at Belgrade's Kalemegdan Fortress on July 26.
The show, which will be held during the Belgrade Summer Festival (BELEF), was originally scheduled for June 9, but was cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
The show presents Egyptian pyramids and historical and mythological personalities from ancient Egypt, using sound and light effects projected onto a 20 by 40 meter water wall.
Author of the 'Egypt in Belgrade" project Mirjana Sajkovic said the show will be accompanied by a variety of other interesting events, such as workshops, painting sessions with renowned Serbian artists, Egiptian dance and music.
The production of this spectacle is the result of joint efforts of a number of teams comprised of archaeologists, historians, artists and directors, Director of the African Museum in Belgrade Narcisa Knezevic Sijan said earlier.
