Serbian War Crime Prosecutor’s Office will announce information about newly discovered details of hideous crimes in Kosovo that were revealed in the course of investigation against Ramus Haradinaj, following completion of his trial before the Hague Tribunal, stated Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic.
He told the Tanjug that the Tribunal is in better position than the local judiciary in trying cases like Haradinaj’s, but that the Serbian Prosecution will be able to prosecute Haradinaj for all other crimes for which he was not tried in the Hague.
Vukcevic pointed that the Prosecution Office had three investigations against Haradinaj, primarily into the 1999 crime in the Hotel "Pastrik", where people were killed and torture, then into the zone Dukadjini in 1999, when 10 people were killed and 13 kidnapped and still not accounted for, while the third was investigation into crimes committed in villages near Decani,
Glodjan and Djakovica in 1998. Haradinaj is charged with 56 murders committed by the KLA units under his command in 78 cases. Vukcevic emphasized that more than 40 witnesses in the Hague Tribunal trial of Haradinaj and Ljimaj, were killed or intimidated.
