Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Bozidar Djelic said Friday that in recent weeks, the international community wanted to introduce some new conditions for Serbia's European integration, which brings uncertainty regarding the country getting candidate status by the end of the year.

Djelic told Tanjug that Serbia will do everything in order to obtain candidate status and to meet all the conditions which were set when it started the process of European integration.

He stressed that Serbia would soon fulfill the Action Plan and that when the European Commission states its opinion, and when member-countries later take their decision on candidate status, noone can say that the status is postponed because Serbia has not carried out the reforms.

Deputy prime minister said that the adoption of the laws on public ownership and restitution are the remaining two major steps to complete fulfillment of the Action Plan and that the Serbian government will quickly achieve that.
