Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Friday asked for the convening of an emergency session of the Serbian parliament, at which all the ruling parties and the opposition would agree on the future state policy towards the issues of Kosovo and European integration.

Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Friday asked for the convening of an emergency session of the Serbian parliament, at which all the ruling parties and the opposition would agree on the future state policy towards the issues of Kosovo and European integration.

SNS said in a statement that Serbian President Boris Tadic, by saying in his Thursday statement that there is a possibility that Serbia will not obtain this year either candidate status or the date of the beginning of negotiations, actually signed the capitulation of his own policy.

The opposition party urged Tadic to answer how long he knew what the actual conditions which are set to Serbia and its people are, and asked him why the people were deceived all the time.

Also, SNS requests that the government publicly announce all the requirements set for Serbia, recognize the collapse of its own policies and schedule early parliamentary elections, the statement says.
