Head of Belgrade's negotiating team in the dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic stated it is impossible to resolve the situation in north Kosovo-Metohija the way Pristina intends to, adding that a status neutral solution has to be found in order to exclude the presence of Kosovo customs in north of the province.

"We hope for an outcome where we will have a regulation of the flow of goods in the north, but that regulation is status neutral, without Kosovo customs, and then we can move on to finding and managing the revenue share and what laws will be implied," Borislav Stefanovic proposed. It is impossible to resolve the situation the way Pristina intends to, he told the Russian news channel Russia Today.

"There's an attempt to create a border between Serbia and Kosovo. There cannot be a border, especially in the area in which we have a majority of Serbs living. There cannot be a border because it is an administrative line," he said. Serbs cannot accept such a scenario, Stefanovic noted, adding that a different solution has to be found.
