EULEX spokesperson Irina Gudeljevic stated on Wednesday evening that the Jarinje administrative crossing in north Kosovo is for now open only for passenger and non-commercial traffic, while the Brnjak administrative checkpoint also allows the flow of commercial goods.

EULEX spokesperson Irina Gudeljevic stated on Wednesday evening that the Jarinje administrative crossing in north Kosovo is for now open only for passenger and non-commercial traffic, while the Brnjak administrative checkpoint also allows the flow of commercial goods.

Such a regime at the Jarinje crossing, located between Raska and Leposavic, will remain in effect until the infrastructure, which was set on fire in the last year's incidents, is renovated, Gudeljevic said for Tanjug.

She said that the Brnjak crossing, between Zubin Potok and Ribaric, is open for passenger traffic, non-commercial and commercial goods, which from that point is directed at a customs checkpoint in southern part of Mitrovica.

Excise goods are directed at Merdare, Gudeljevic added.

The north crossings became operational a few days ago, when the barricades, which Serbs put up on the territory of central Serbia, were removed.

Gudeljevic could not comment on certain media allegations about leaflets on the treatment of commercial, non-commercial and excise goods which were distributed to citizens at the Jarinje crossing on Wednesday.

She said that such leaflets exist, and that this is no news as EULEX printed them in September last year shortly after the agreement between representatives of Pristina and Belgrade.
