The Directorate for Confiscated Property Management has given to charity almost RSD 28 million in cash, while the confiscated property ceded to social organizations amounts to dozens of millions of euros, Homen said in an interview for Belgrade daily Danas.

He said that the law proved to be one of the best and most efficient legal solutions in combating crime.

Homen said that the Directorate has ceded some of the seized facilities to state bodies and institutions, for instance a house, previously owned by a member of crime group around drug lord Darko Saric, near University Children's Hospital which is to accommodate parents and children from inner Serbia who have to stay in Belgrade for the purpose of medical treatments.
