Belgrade to host international franchise expo

The expo, which is organized by the Serbian Franchise Association and the Franchise Center of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, is to motivate unemployed entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises to promote their business and start new ones.

The 2nd International Franchise Expo in Serbia, which will be held in Belgrade on November 4-5, will present a concept of franchise business, which is recommended by experts in Serbia and abroad due to its crisis-proof qualities.

The expo, which is organized by the Serbian Franchise Association and the Franchise Center of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, is to motivate unemployed entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises to promote their business and start new ones.

The expo will gather large number franchisers, who will present and offer their business models. Certain foreign brands, which already do business in Greece, Sweden, Croatia and other countries and now want to penetrate the Serbian market, have also announced their arrival at the expo.

The expo speakers will comprise renowned experts from Serbia and abroad, including representatives of the Italian, Greek and Croatian franchise associations, Italo Bussoli, Sotiris Yannakakis and Ljiljana Kukec, respectively.

The manifestation was supported by the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, the National Employment Service, the Department for Development of Trade of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency.

The entrance for visitors and presence at all conferences are free of charge, and additional information may be found on the expo website www.franchiseexposerbia.com.

The First International Franchise Expo, which was held last year and attended by 4,000-5,000 visitors, resulted in over 50 franchise agreements. Moreover, it was a way of promoting this type of business, which according to results of certain research, is not jeopardized by the economic crisis.
