Fifteen projects Germany would like to begin in Croatia have been presented to the Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor by the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations and the German-Croatian Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The proposed projects are related to infrastructure development, the energy sector, agriculture and tourism with some of the potential investors are looking at establishing regular air connection between the mainland and the Croatian islands, amongst others.
The chairman of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, Klaus Mangold said the realisation of the projects would contribute to the improvement of German-Croatian economic relations. In his previous visit in June Mangold said Germany was looking to become the leading foreign investor in Croatia.
The list of projects is the result of a Croatian-German Business forum on 15 and 16 June in Zagreb where more than 350 representatives from both German and Croatian companies participated.
Most of the projects have been in the works for a longer period of time and some have full financing already ensured, meaning that their realisation could begin soon, the portal Business writes.
