U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton shall visit the Balkans next week and then visit Brussels where she will attend the NATO session, announced the State Department on Tuesday.

From October 11 to 14 Clinton shall visit BiH, Serbia and Kosovo, where she will meet with government representatives, civil society representatives and citizens", AFP reports.

She will use the journey to "underline continuous support from the U.S. to Balkan states and their aspirations for full EU and NATO integration", stated the release.

Clinton shall attend the ministerial session of NATO in Brussels and meet with EU president Herman Van Rompuy and EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Catherine Ashton.
