Bulgaria is currently discussing North Korea’s unprecedented artillery attacks against South Korea which have led to civilian casualties, said Vesela Cherveva, spokesperson for the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry.

“We’re calling for the North Korean government to show restrain in further provocations and to stick to the peace agreement, the foreign ministry’s communiqué says.

In a telephone conversation, the Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Mladenov has discussed the incidents with the South Korea’s ambassador to Sofia.
