Lukashenko accepts government resignation

Pursuant to Article 106 (3) of the Belarusian Constitution, the Council of Ministers resigned on December 27, 2010, following the re-election of Lukashenko to a new term, the press service said.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who won December 19 presidential election, accepted the resignation of the government on Monday, Russian news agencies reported, citing the presidential press service.
Pursuant to Article 106 (3) of the Belarusian Constitution, the Council of Ministers resigned on December 27, 2010, following the re-election of Lukashenko to a new term, the press service said.
The Interfax Agency found out that a new Cabinet will be formed soon.
The central Belarusian election committee announced on December 24 the final results of the presidential election, which Lukashenko won with 79.65 percent of votes.
