Sarajevo: Peaceful demonstrations in front of Iranian embassy

Peaceful demonstrations will take place in front of the Iranian embassy in BiH, with citizens pleading for the release of movie director Jafar Panahi and Mohammad Rasulov.

Peaceful demonstrations will take place in front of the Iranian embassy in BiH, with citizens pleading for the release of movie director Jafar Panahi and Mohammad Rasulov.

The demonstrations for the release of the two men will take place from 17:30 to 18:00 PM. At the same time, the Law faculty of BiH will broadcast their movies.

Panahi and Rasulov were sentenced to six years imprisonment, and Panahi was banned from making movies, traveling and being in the media for the next 20 years.

The organizers of the demonstrations are cultural, artistic and student organizations: East West Center, Sarajevo open center Gramofon, Festival MES and the Law faculty Student association in Sarajevo.
