The officials and their family members were later taken to Zagreb by bus.
Several Croatian companies operating in Egypt are also pulling out their workers. Croatian oil company Ina has already evacuated several of its six employees, while the remaining few are expected to come home today (Tue).
Ina says that its employees are not in immediate danger because, for the most part, they work in the northern desserts of Egypt and only two people are in the capital Cairo where biggest rallies are taking place.
Another member of Ina Group, Crosco, has 11 of its employees in al-Alamein and Alexandria, the second largest city in Egypt. Ina suspended its works on the Sidi Rahman oil field, but is continuing operations on others, the daily Vecernji List writes.
