BH needs 7,000 small enterprises more to reduce unemployment to EU average

BH has total of 519,000 unemployed people. Small enterprises may employ up to 50 people. However, the current economic environment is such that this is not expected, although SMEs are frequently considered transitional economies’ lifeline.
It would take 7,000 more small enterprises in BH to cut the current unemployment rate of 27.2 per cent in BH to the EU’s average unemployment rate of 9.6 per cent, based on the latest relevant information.

Employers point towards budget deficits at almost all levels as the main reason for this, together with a lack of strategy for SMEs and no major infrastructural projects.
