The area of central Dalmatia, Croatia, was early Friday hit by an earthquake whose epicenter was about 30 kilometers north of the coastal city of Split.
The area of central Dalmatia, Croatia, was early Friday hit by an earthquake whose epicenter was about 30 kilometers north of the coastal city of Split.
According to Croatia's National Protection and Rescue Directorate, the earthquake took place at 7.31 a.m., measuring the magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale and the epicenter intensity of V-VI on Mercalli scale.
The earthquake was felt over a wide area of Split-Dalmatia County, and there has been no information about a possible material damage so far.
