The prices of consumer products and services in BH were lower in August in comparison with July 2011 by average 0.1 per cent, the Statistics Agency has said.

Prices fell the most in this period for the group of food and non-alcoholic beverages – by 0.8 per cent. Prices increased the most for furniture, home appliances and regular home maintenance costs – by 0.7 per cent.
Year on year, there was inflation rate in August of 3.9 per cent. In the group of alcoholic beverages and tobacco, prices increased by 8.5 per cent and transport was costlier by average 7.2 per cent.
Among countries in the region, the August inflation rate in Croatia was two per cent and in Serbia it was 10.5 per cent, respectively.
