Heating prices upped

Skopje, 28 October 2011 (MIA) - As of 1 November, household heating energy prices are increased by 7.2-9.6 percent for "Toplifikacija" users, and 13.3 percent for "Skopje Sever" users.

Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) president Dimitar Petrov said Friday the bills for households paid in the course of 12 months are upped by 7.2 percent, whereas those paid only during the heating season are increased by 9.6 percent.

According to him, the price increase comes as result of the natural gas price rise by 19.6 percent in Q4.

The new prices will refer only to November and December, whereas a new calculation will be carried out as of January.
