Seven people died in the last 24 hours in Romania due to the harsh weather, thus raising to 86 the toll from severe hypothermia since a Yellow Code alert of freezing temperatures was issued by the forecasters.
Seven people died in the last 24 hours in Romania due to the harsh weather, thus raising to 86 the toll from severe hypothermia since a Yellow Code alert of freezing temperatures was issued by the forecasters.
The Health Ministry said the seven persons died out of their homes, in the open, in the counties of Suceava, Bacau, Brasov, Gorj, Mehedinti and Mures.
Almost 200 homeless people and persons suffering from hypothermia have been taken by the ambulance vehicles to hospitals and shelters over the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
