State Public Prosecutor Ljupco Svrgovski said Tuesday the his office possessed solid evidence pointing to the fact that those arrested in operation "Monster" are the real perpetrators and helpers of the multiple murder near Smiljkovci.

Svrgovski did not reveal any details, but confirmed special investigative measures had been used.

"The special investigative measures refer to wire tapping. This is legitimate, through an order by an investigative judge. These records help us in the investigation and in the building of our thesis that the suspects are the individuals who perpetrated or assisted in the crime", said prosecutor Svrgovski.

He stressed that the investigation should be carried out institutionally, adding he did not approve recent protests.

"I do not support protests, since when we undertook the responsibility to launch a procedure against certain individuals, it will be based on solid evidence linking the persons with the Smiljkovci event", underlined Svrgovski. ik/15:27
