Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF), the third International investment conference, officially begun today. On that occasion, a gala reception was organized last night in Hotel “Bristol” in Sarajevo for the participants of the Forum.

Guests from more than 30 countries from around the world, who have arrived to Sarajevo to attend the conference, were addressed by Mr. Amer Bukvić, the CEO of Bosna Bank International, on behalf of the organizers of SBF. Mr. Bukvić pointed out that SBF is, year after year, becoming an ever growing and more important event.

“This year the Sarajevo Business Forum hosts over a thousand of participants; therefore, we can freely say that SBF is one of the leading investment conferences in Southeast Europe”, said Mr. Bukvić, thanking everyone who supported the forum and wishing a pleasant stay in Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the guests of the Forum.

The president of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the co-organizer of the SBF for the third year, dr. Ahmad Mohammad Ali said he was pleased to once more be a guest of Sarajevo and Sarajevo Business Forum, an event important not only for Bosnia and Herzegovina but also for the entire region.

“Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina are very alluring. This beautiful country can serve as a link between the countries of the region and the rest of the world”, said dr. Ali.

H.E. Bakir Izetbegović, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the host of the reception, welcomed the guests from all over the world to Sarajevo. In his address, President Izetbegović reminded of the constant growth of SBF as a regional investment conference.

Mentioning the expectation that Bosnia and Herzegovina will become a NATO member in the next four years and a member of the European Union in the next eight to ten years, President Izetbegović pointed out that this is a favorable moment to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"It is the right time to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, stated President Izetbegović.
