The Republic Geodetic Authority has organised the conference on the development of information and communication technologies in land administration in the Centre Sava today, attended by 200 experts from 18 countries of Europe and Asia.

The conference is another in a range of events organised by the Republic Geodetic Authority within the “Real Estate Cadastre and Registration of Rights in Serbia” project, launched in 2004, owing to funds from a loan received from the World Bank and the budget of the Republic of Serbia.

The aim of this regional ICT conference is exchange of experience gained in developing and implementing information and communication technologies in the real estate cadastre system.

Development of a corresponding ICT system will enable more efficient operations of the Republic Geodetic Authority, better-quality services, simpler and better resources management, and the advancement of the real estate market.

In his introductory speech, Nenad Tesla, Director of the Republic Geodetic Authority, has said the following: “It is planned to complete the design of the real estate cadastre for the territory of Serbia this year.

The World Bank’s investments into this project confirm that international institutions are interested in the development or our state administration. In the process of state administration modernisation, RGZ has an exceptional role, which is highly beneficial for all citizens and state institutions.

Improvements of the cadastre design technologies will result in higher trust of foreign investors at the real estate market and reduction of prices in the construction industry.”
